Hints and Tips Introduction
|
This page isn't really about "Hints and Tips", it's more
about Documentation and Education, but that's too big
to fit on the Navigation Bar!
It will provide Documentation and Education on various
aspects of your PC.
This will help you to understand your Personal Computer
(PC) better and will also allow you to perform those
small, fiddley maintenance tasks that shouldn't really
require a Technician.
It is provided more for the Computer beginner, someone
who can navigate the Internet, but not necessarily much
more than that.
That doesn't mean that it won't be useful for the
Intermediate PC user, just that it will be aimed at
people with minimal knowledge.
In the future, we hope to include information for the
Intermediate to Advanced user.
If at any stage you don't understand a term or an
abbreviation, please refer to the Glossary page for an
explanation, using the Navigator Bars.
You can get back to the point at which you "jumped-off"
to the Glossary page, by using the "Back" button of
your Browser (Internet Explorer, etc).
In the meantime, it will be about showing you the simple
logic behind how things work on a PC, so that you can
extrapolate on your knowledge and hence work things out
for yourself, in the future, as your knowledge increases.
For those of you who don't wish to extrapolate on your
knowledge, contact us at HolTech Services and let us do
the extrapolating for you!
Please note that because there are so many version of
Windows in use at the moment, we will not be
specifying commands that are specific to particular
versions, except where absolutely necessary. What we will
be doing is to provide you with the knowledge to work out
how that particular function is performed on your version
of Windows.
